The fabulous author Poppy Z. Brite (author of Liquor and Prime, two wonderful novels) lives in New Orleans. Needless to say she doesn't right now. Here's info on how you can give money to help her. If you're not the kind to give to the Red Cross then why not give to an individual where you know the money will go to help someone who needs it.
